Inbox: Gov. Josh Shapiro has signed a bill into law targeting the use of deepfakes. The new law makes it a felony to use AI to generate content designed to “injure, exploit or scam Pennsylvanians.”

The bill, SB 649, was sponsored by GOP state Sen. Tracy Pennycuick.
