Oh my goodness, I love it! The little beaky nose slays me. They are such interesting little creatures. Found this one in my basement last winter, swearing an absolute blue streak at my cat. He was safely released once we were able to connect with experts who could tell us what he needed!

Happy to report that BonBon’s surgery went well— we just did spay and the teeth, and will be researching some promising non-surgical options for her entropion.

A beautiful brown and white rabbit sits attentively next to her owner’s sweatpants-clad leg. Her chocolate brown ears are alert, and her dainty front paws are pressed neatly together, only half visible beneath a majestic dewlap. Though the eye turned towards the camera is bright, some irritation/redness can be seen at the corner.

Bonnie is getting spayed tomorrow, and likely having her bilateral entropion (her lower eyelids roll inward so her eyelashes touch her eye constantly) surgically corrected. I’ve only had her for a month, but I love her so much.. I’m going to be a wreck until she’s back home safe.

I believe it, they’re wild! My cat had one cornered in the basement over the winter and it was shrieking at him.. we had it overnight to make sure it was ok, and it ate a staggering amount of mealworms & never stopped running. I also had no idea they were venomous! I hope you post the hummingshrew!

A Yellowjacket is perched on the edge of a tall, slender sarracenia pitcher. As sarracenia lure bugs in to trap and digest them, the bug does not realize the danger it may be in.

This little dude is playing with fire. I don’t think he realizes that half my garden is carnivorous. 😬
