just been kind of musing about it because for the past two years with each new media i've enjoyed i've thought to myself 'i really like this, is it gonna give me brain rot?' and it just has not happened HAHA i'm very content drawing my own funky lil guys for the time being it seems like!

fanart usually comes from a place of needing to rip an idea out of my soul born of pure love for whatever the original work is so it feels kind of disingenuous to do fanart just because i think people might want to see it from me 😅 even if it's something i like a regular amount already

i've just been thinking a lot recently about how little i have the actual URGE to draw fanart these days ... i am of course still a fan of many things and i love SEEING fanart but artistically i'm really content making original stuff lately 🫡

when i first watched gundam wing i was younger than the main cast so i was like "they're practically adults! they should know better!" any time relena did something weird/stupid/crazy but now that i'm over twice her age i'm like "that's just what being fifteen is like"

you could write an entire dissertation studying the american fandom hate for relena in the early 2000s but actually i think she's pretty well written and everything she does is i think within expectation for someone of her background reacting to the situations she's finding herself in

whenever i rewatch gundam wing as an adult i'm always surprised by how much i actually like relena as a character LOL
