Two of my most favourite MPs in the same place.
@gordjohns.bsky.social is one of the most hardest working MPs I have ever met. The fact that he is lining up with @heathermcpherson.bsky.social doesn't surprise me.
They show up and do the heavy lifting for democracy.

Deeply saddened by news that my friend Kirsty Duncan passed away today. I worked closely with her while she was the Minister of Science and the Chair of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology. I texted her on Saturday when I was at a Robbie Burns dinnerβher favourite event of the year.

Christmas night at Chez Angus. We love singalongs - rebel songs and traditional tales. This is my all time favourite song from the great Ewan McColl.

Maybe the subsidized exporters are making lots of $$? Apparently in Australia there was also a huge impact on the plastic manufacturing sector as most plastics are made from natural gas but the North America NG supply chain is more complex Iβm guessing.
11.12.2025 16:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I remember a conservative Australian MP testifying before the House of Commons Natural Resources Committee about 7 years ago who warned that in Oz the main effect of new LNG exports was a sharp increase in domestic gas prices.

Patrick Weiler is right--it makes no sense to give $$ to the highly profitable oil industry when we could be encouraging clean energy. The NDP fought these subsidies for more than a decade and thought the Liberals were finally onside, but now Carney caves.
