‼️ Word on the street is Detroit Mayor (and gubernatorial hopeful) Mike Duggan was on the phone with Rep Whitsett yesterday while she was en route to Lansing. Also, Duggan’s legal counsel was reportedly seen cozying up in Matt Hall’s office alongside Whitsett.

No women will lead House committees for first time in 2 decades The 17 standing committees will be dominated by white men when the new Congress is seated on Jan. 3. No people of color were selected, either.

The Republican Majority at the time kept us in the capitol after midnight many times—voting on bills that we didn’t like. 🧵
