Book 3 is where, i feel, rand gets hard to read and mat gets tolerable. Perrin was hands down my favorite till book 5 or so

By happenstance, I started on book 3 and got caught up to rj at book 10ish before I went back and read 1&2, so I never could get into rand. Plus side, I didn't know about super bitchy mat from those books either

Was getting supplies for a fishing trip. Decided to grab a book incase it rained. Tdr was the first book in the series available (I usually catch flack over not starting at eotw). It rained. Been reading/ rereading it for 22? years now.
