How can mindfulness help you right now? What mindfulness practices are you focusing on that are helping to regulate your nervous system?
It’s hard to think of mindfulness as not being a purely intellectual exercise when it almost feels like we’re taking blows from all sides right now - like a boxer in the ring taking hit after hit after hit, and the trainer is yelling from the side “Focus on how you feel as they hit you!”
Mindful awareness of the world and of politics in the US right now is so hard. I truly believe that being mindful can help us be less reactive, but my processing time for the events of the US in the last 2 weeks has not yet caught up with what is happening here.
