When I decided to start a fantasy worldbuilding project I was faced with the challenge of learning to draw environments. As a character artist this was way out of my comfort zone. I still have a lot to learn, but just making them exist is half the battle! You can make it good later!

Since i finished Colloseum, I'm onto Gale of Darkness!!
I played both games a lot as a kid, but I definitely played this one way more

And yes I think the CPU cheats lol. I'm like 90% sure it picks its turn AFTER you and knowing what you're gonna do.
It definitely increases the difficulty, tho I'm totally fine with that. The game was definitely challenging as hell but I really enjoyed that

I have learned that the choices for the catchable pokemon were to make sure the national dex in general 3 was possible. Which seems reasonable, but is still WILD cause why tf couldn't they just be available in the main games?? Who tf made that decision???

Ok so I forgot to take a picture but I beat the game!! I even ended up beating MtBattle while grinding for the final voss
Overall, I LOVE Colloseum. It's such a fun and unique experience. There are decisions which are... questionable and the CPU cheats like a bitch

But then so many of them are just... not good pokemon for battling. And they tend to give you these pokemon in batches, so you're getting shit like Yanma, Mantine, Qwilfish, and Dunsparce back to back. I'm literally in the last area and it just gave me Delibird and Sunflora??

But also the pokemon choices?
The game has a very limited selection of pokemon you can obtain. Excludes exclusives that require external hardware, there's only 56 pokemon. Which i love the limited selection! It makes it way more interesting

There's definitely some... questionable choices tho lol
Like the lack of a move options?
There's only a few TMs and there's no move reminder?? Which sucks cause the Shadow Pokemon's default moves are... questionable lol

There's also just so much life in this game. Each area is so unique and theres so much cool looking shit.
Also the battle animations are so fun and unique, even if they're lower poly

Btw i just adore the aethetic of this game. I miss early 2000s when high tech stuff was all clunky looking
