This is Draft 2 of the same scene (Separate Seasons Ch. 5), about as raw as it can get (i.e. exactly after writing it, zero checks for grammar/vocab/etc).

The word count has gone from 800+ to 1.5k words for the same section.

Our cat walks into the house with a goldfish in her mouth and circles rhe dining table and living room in search for my mum (she's not home).

She circles back to the closed door.

Cat looks at me, I look at her. *muffled meowing; mrfowf*

I open the door. She walks out, goldfish still in mouth.

bonus: 🦚 ends up training 🥮 to spot/identify genuine gems/precious metals. Sometimes there will be two of them sitting with him at his workbench, one on the table, another on his lap. The third sits next to the register in the store and MEOWS very loudly when someone comes in.

aka I need more of them in a steampunk setting.

that he decides to keep them around as pets in his antiquities store. They're surprisingly affectionate and possesses some type of sentience that has 🛁 curious, so he visits them often to study them. 🥮 are naturally pleased with the arrangement.

Antique dealer!🦚 acquires three odd steampunk-esque creatures (read: catcakes 🥮) and asks math prof!🛁 if he can fix them for him, bc 🦚's mending/polishing skillset is limited to on jewelry/accesories. 🛁 fixes them, and 🦚 imprints on them so hard →

My grandmother used to embroider with gradient floss cut to sections of colour changes. I think 🤔 I'm understanding the technique. Maybe.

There's definitely a trust the process moment and I suspect once the entire work is complete, the effect will be pretty subtle, but I like it.

Amidst writing, I have started a new embroidery project, because I have no self control and operate the best when juggling multiple hobbies at once.

I currently have no plans to write a separate in-play POV for primaries; secondaries! What I have planned in the outline is pretty plot-heavy, but there *should* be some discussion of plays on d0m's side in the next chapter! 🫶

In-play d0m POV would be content for a different fic methinks 🤔

2024 was a wild year. I boothed at an event with the besties (🫶🫶🫶love y'all), wrote a coffeeshop AU on existentialism (lmao), got my PhD and moved back home.

Most likely scenario is that I'll do a very small print run (~10 copies or more depending on demand), and giveaway/sell the remain copies at production price 😅.

Alternatively I might put up print-ready copies of my books on ko-fi at the minimum price for those who want to diy!

I want to!!!!!!! 🥺🥺🥺 I'm still brainstorming for ideas for the book design/cover, but the level of complexity depends on how many want it (and also my ability to think/design/draw a cover art for it lmao).

Also I've uploaded deleted scenes from primaries;secondaries onto my poipiku! ❤️ These scenes were supposed to be for when 🗡️ got home post-drop and he was originally meant to interact with 🦁🐏 but it got unwieldly. I wrote the scene thrice over lmao.
