Why Dems Must Call Out Trump's Authoritarianism
Polls show that voters care more the economy than the fall of democracy, we should try to change their mind
Are they crashing the economy to distract us from all the ways they’re stealing our rights and freedoms, too? I hate seeing my IRA go down in value, but that seems like the least of our problems right now. open.substack.com/pub/messageb...

What I did this week?
• Spent too much on groceries
• Spent too much on housing
• Spent too much on utilities
• Spent too much on healthcare
• Spent WAY too much time watching an orange clown degrade himself while Elon Musk raids the Treasury

Elon Musk’s Team Now Has Full Access to Treasury’s Payments System
All of your most sensitive data and our country’s checkbook are in the hands of an unelected billionaire.
This is the most corrupt administration in history and it’s putting our economy & government in serious jeopardy.
It’s time to speak out and fight back.

It's hard to keep up with the dizzying madness, for sure. But every single story you'll be interested in, in the future will be affected by the filter that's being constructed today, right now, before our very eyes, if we choose to look.

Opinion | Trump’s Opening Act of Contempt
To open his term with such an act of contempt toward the legal system is audacious, even for Mr. Trump.
Not a beacon of hope. Not a shining city on a hill. Not an indispensable nation. Not even a great experiment. Just a lawless third-rate country slouching toward ruin. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/20/o...
