Went on a walk in the baylands this afternoon and saw a bunch of N shovelers. They gather here every winter. They're a bit smaller than the mallards, but just a beautiful, I think.

I just googled it and it must've been "an Outdoor Journal".

Honestly, I don't recall, but I think it must have had flyfishing in the title to have caught my attention. This was in the 90s and it was already considered a collector's item.

I'd do anything to avoid going through Heathrow! What a hell hole that is. Used to have to travel to EU for work and found an alternative route by going through Helsinki. Marrakesh is pretty amazing!

Remembering President #JimmyCarter: When I was working at Habitat for Humanity in Georgia, I came across a book about #flyfishing written by former President Jimmy Carter. I found out that he was an avid #flyfisherman! I wanted to buy it, but it was at least $100 or something.

Looks so abstract. There's something magical about light when it's reflecting and passing through water.

The Ruby mountains near Elko are quite beautiful! There's a little stream that meanders through the valley full of hungry brookies. Fishing this stream during sunset is like heaven.

Our annual pilgrimage sometimes would start in early June, driving from California to Nevada, directly to Wyoming, then Montana, and then Idaho panhandle, fishing in every state mentioned. We fished most of the gold ribbon waters. So spoiled! I miss those days 😭

We used to go to Coeur d'Alene every year for over 20 years and that's where I caught them cutties! Didn't realize how spoiled I was getting to fish the waters of Idaho. We stopped going bc they started having white supremacist rallies in 2018:-(
