Books 4-7 of 2026. Empire Falls was a very pleasant surprise, I also watched the movie straight after finishing the book and for a movie adaptation it was all right 😀 I adored Still Life 🥰 The other two were not bad either, although a bit predictable. But all in all no complaints. #booksky 📚 #books

After a trial over the last few years, Ireland has launched a permanent scheme giving a basic income of €325 a week for artists.
2,000 will be eligible, and successful recipients will be chosen at random from applicants, who must be "professional artists" (definition tbc).
