Except for the fact that Canada is not a unitary thing, tidy and ready to be assimilated….and, of course, there is Quebec.

Critical thinking does not make a good consumer of goods and services. This is a thesis I postulated years ago when teaching post-secondary. It's not in the best interest of capitalism, even though it is in the best interests of democracy, to have a thoughtful populace.
