You started well with your 1st sentence. Unfortunately, your post quickly degenerated into nonsense by the 2nd sentence! πŸ“‰

On the contrary. Starmer's position on the Iran war has proved to be the right one & has given him a much needed boost in popularity. Lame horse he is not.

Extremely hard for the linesman to judge it without technology so perhaps a case of giving benefit of doubt to the defending team.

Right, I've now seen a replay on the extended highlights. Very difficult to freeze frame it, but the ball probably was just out. Fine margins, just like the earlier post incident. #Pompey

From what I'm now reading, the new contract with Serco, which runs in-port services, does indeed set new routine working hours of 9am-5pm on weekdays but both the MoD and Serco deny it had any impact on the HMS Dragon work which, of course, was anything but routine.

This 'fake' criticism of the Labour Government was mentioned to me last night. It sounded like rubbish when I heard It & on checking it seems to be utterly debunked by the Guardian article. Does anyone with Portsmouth dockyard knowledge have any further insight?

Fair enough. I'd still like to see a replay but it's missing from the match highlights I've seen so far.

It brought to mind the infamous Japan goal vs Spain in the 2022 World Cup. Was Caballero's ball further 'over the line' than this? Without technology, we'll never know!

No excuses, we were well beaten tonight, but did anyone get a good view of Caballero getting to the byline & cutting it back for what we thought was a goal, only for the linesman to flag that the ball went out? Looked very tight from my vantage point. #Pompey

Apart from chaos & distraction from the Epstein files, he hasn't achieved anything. The Iranian regime is still there. Iran's military capabilities are still there. Iran's nuclear programme? Who knows. How does he manage this exit without losing face? Lies & more lies I guess. #UnmitigatedDisaster

Credit also for his ability to continue playing with the same intensity without (so far) drawing the yellow card that would mean a two match ban. #Pompey

I think your figures may be for 2021-22 and the preceding years, ie. before PB's were banned. Happy to be proved wrong though.

You make some good, well argued points, but I'd prefer it if the high emotions from both sides were put aside so that such important decisions are made based on the best medical & scientific evidence available today. If NHS England needs more time to get to that point, then so be it.

Another example of Starmer getting it right πŸ‘‡

He really isn't.

What wouldn't make sense is putting the country through another painful & divisive referendum. I don't think anybody really wants that, certainly not with everything else going on at the moment.

As progressives, we've always tried to formulate our views on evidence-based analysis. Not sure that's happening in this debate.

NHS England commissioned 10 independent reviews which found there was not enough good quality evidence to conclude overall whether the drugs benefited young people or harmed them. Should we not trust the scientific & medical experts & await the findings of the public consultation before judging?

Australian Grand Prix: Was new-era F1 really racing or more like a computer game? The opening race of F1's new era in Australia left the drivers with mixed feelings about what the sport had become, writes Andrew Benson.

The early laps were exciting but thereafter it settled into a more typical procession at the front. Time will tell whether this new era can deliver consistently better racing or whether safety concerns will force changes. #F1

Except, he has condemned Israel, on several occasions. It's either never enough or he's wrong in not wholeheartedly backing Israel!

There are too many in this country who aren't happy unless they can find fault. It's easy to say they are "horrendous choices" when you don't have the responsibility yourself of dealing with important allies or protecting UK interests.

I'm beginning to think that whatever Starmer does (& he's mostly been right), he'll just be attacked from all sides. Perhaps it's best to ignore the noise & appreciate the remaining years of this Govt. If in 2029, others stupidly decide to throw out the best govt we've had in decades, so be it.

Mercedes definitely back. Front row comfortably locked out. Is this the start of an era similar to 2014 - 2020? #F1

Impressive early showing from #Audi. Also, Alonso currently 2.715 secs behind the pace in 16th. Still a big gap but signs of progress from #AstonMartin? Q1 about to resume. #F1
