Annette closes the conversation by emphasizing that we must continue to advocate for nonspeakers not just on this day, but every day, because although a lot has happened in the last few years, there is so much more to be done. We couldn't agree more!

The documentary "Inspiration in the Midst of Horror" is a testament to Dan’s existence today and the impact of a unique Jewish museum and the history it preserves.

Dan's youth was "muted" until the age of 12, when he learned to type to communicate, at which point he could conceptualize many important aspects of his life with much more clarity.

The film emphasizes the exhibit's inspiration that influences Dan’s life, his personal development and growth, and the people who have been part of his journey.

In the film, Dan visits an exhibit that showcases the courageous Danish rescue of Jews during WWII at the Museum of Jewish Heritage in New York. Dan is fascinated by the exhibit, which parallels his experiences and goals, as someone who has faced challenges and needed help.

We enjoyed meeting old friends from our 2024 Ireland advocacy tour. We were thrilled to learn that many nonspeakers are typing with C4A Academy. Thank you to our friend Catherine Lyons for coming to the conference specifically to see Elizabeth’s presentation! What a magical time!

In Session 9, Part 2, Leon gets to make choices by expressing his opinion. He is also moving beyond facts to creative writing. Expressing an opinion and creative writing are powerful motivators.
