Jungle sharks are an underrated jungle problem.
Thread on mentorship and some things you as comics creators can do to share your good fortune with others in your field.
Adding to this wonderful advice. If you do a Kickstarter, make sure you use it as platform to promote the other creators you're working with, not just the book.
And if you're at a convention, and you know someone is great, introduce them to other publishers/ editors/ people who can hire them.
I think about this a lot.
And also that once someone lucks into a situation where the millions can become billions, others with power/influence/super-wealth glom on so they can make even more money through that ascendance. "One of us! One of us!" "Us" in this case being the Epstein Class, the worst people on the planet.
Oh, Texas Democratic Party, never change.

Man, if you're a 1 seed who can't even win one game in your conference tournament and hasn't played anyone during the season, I don't care if you get into the tournament or not, and if you insist it would be a "travesty" if you don't get in, I'm just gonna laugh at you and shake my head. Ya blew it.

I got laid off from my day job this week so if you know anyone who is looking for a cool and awesome senior full-stack software engineer/team lead with tons of experience who also writes comics and has no trace of poster’s madness, let me know! Please!

It's where if you eat a certain sandwich you have to destroy Rome. Or something like that, I'm pretty sure.
Does yours involve a woodchipper, too?
Saying the quiet part out loud. They literally want you to be so stupid that you have to buy basic intelligence from them.
We need to talk more about a bunch of unqualified white incel Trumpers cutting funding and shutting down agencies "because DEI" as the ultimate expression of Modern Republicanism.
The modern ultra-rich investor class is all about short-term gains above all else. Maybe they think they'll be able to survive in their bunkers when everything burns down and the entire ecosystem collapses? Who fucking knows. But yeah, they don't seem to be great long-term thinkers.
Why so many people signing up to lose all public good will and be hated? Especially people who are already bonkers rich.
When you factor in all the corruption, broken laws, haphazard deregulation, handouts, and tax breaks, Trump's horrible regime has probably been a big net win for them.
All of these narcissistic fucks, who pathetically glom on to each other, are deeply insecure boys who desperately want to feel like dick-swinging strongmen, but nothing will ever fill the fractured hole in their souls because they'll never do the work, afraid of "looking weak." Throw 'em all away.
That's, uh, a lot.

Oh, because Hegseth was in them?
It shouldn't fall to trans people to explain to cis people why creating laws that effectively amount to "If you have or ever had a penis, you must behave this way; If you have, or ever had a vagina, you must behave this other way" is horrifically dangerous for everyone's rights.
ooooh temu figured out it's now shorthand for "cheap off-brand garbage" and is not happy about it
This is how I feel about a LOT of ttrpg crowdfunding campaigns, and rarely do they present all the possible items as add-ons so that you can go full a la carte. Probably/maybe to drive people to more expensive tiers, but I'd be curious if they aren't ultimately leaving more money on the table.
More regular comic book readers need to check out the indie comics being published exclusively through crowdfunding. There is a TON of great work being made there and it deserves a much bigger audience (plus more great comics for everyone to enjoy!).
Last 18 hours. He never wanted to a part of his supervillain dad’s life. Now he stands to inherit it all, including those buddies who want a piece…
