Update: So I had crisps to tide me over then a big dinner (tea). Currently got my eye on some tea cakes for supper.

If I haven’t had lunch yet, should I just wait and have dinner?

(For Northerners: if I haven’t had my dinner yet, should I just wait and have tea?)

Maria’s name on the front of the venue. Great venue. Give it a try if you live in or near Walthamstow.

20 years ago I saw the exceptional Maria Bamford on my day off at the Edinburgh Fringe and loved her. Yesterday, I was lucky enough to see her again at the Soho Theatre in Walthamstow and was again blown away.
Add to that my brilliant friend Felicity Ward was supporting. Sheesh. Lucky me.

Definitely a pancake. TSM

A creamy white plate with a blue stripe around the edge. In the middle is a pancake. What you might call a crepe. It wasn’t the first one as that is always a crumpled mess.

So it wasn’t Pancake Day yesterday then? Well, it was in our house.

When you say ‘her’, you mean ‘you’? As in you are directing the insult at me, yes?

A beautiful bright rich blue sky. With a tiny bald eagle. Actually, he’s just far away. We had binoculars with us, identified it as a bald eagle and then took this pretty poor photo. Though my Merlin app (bird identifying app) did recognise it as a bald eagle so YAY. It’s a close up selfie of me. I’m so excited. Eyes wide, mouth too, but also wrapped up as it was cold. Wearing a multicoloured woollen infinity scarf or as used to call them ‘snoods’.

2 weeks ago, I was lucky enough to go to Antelope Island in Utah. The scenery is breathtaking. The wildlife is simply stunning. While we were there we saw bison, a jackrabbit, mule deer, possibly a coyote and this, only a bloody bald eagle. Second photo is my face when I realised it was a bald eagle.

It’s me, at the window where the best light is, with a tired but relaxed face with minimal make up. My hair is barely done but clean and I’m smiling. I’m wearing a wonderful (paid for) strawberry jumper Pretty much everyone who saw it complimented me on it. Jeez compliments feel nice, don’t they?

Just had a wonderful trip to Utah with my friend Kate to watch excellent films at Sundance and look at glorious birds. Never had so many compliments as I did on my Lesley Evers strawberry sweater. Always good to be home but what a trip.

Beautiful and fancy restaurant with 4 smashers (me included) sitting around a table, smiling. This is post dinner and Secret Santa and pre mad dash to the theatre in the pouring rain.

Brilliant day with Standard Issue podcast gang yesterday, L-R Hannah Dunleavy, Jennifer Offord and Mickey Noonan. Fabulous meal and delightful show, my Neighbour Totoro. Ace belated Christmas do. Give the podcast a listen. It’s brilliant.

It’s a print in a black frame. I’m holding it, it’s a little smaller than A4. The print is by David Shrigley and is a blue elephant sitting like a person. The text says ‘I must rest. My rampage is over.’

I love David Shrigley & this print, an end of tour present from my friend Kate, sums up my current mood perfectly.

After 4.5 years on tour, waking up in my own bed, cooking, bird feeders and seeing my boys every day is a welcome shift in focus and this blue elephant is glad of a sit down.

It’s a really nice pan with some spinach in it. Wilting nicely.

Reminder that my brand new Stand up special Late Bloomer is available to stream, download and on DVD right now. Via my website. It’s full of extras including the song written for the show and about the show by Andy Robinson that played as you left the theatre.

Oh yes and I wilt spinach now.

It’s a wooden table upon which is a blue and white Cornish ware mug with SARAH on it. That is full of tea. Next to it is a pint glass of water.

3rd tea and 1st water. Classic.

It’s a leafless bush so very twiggy. And sitting amongst the twigs is a round, little black and white bird. It’s not a great photo but I’m a firm believer than a crap photo of a bird is better than no photo at all. Somewhere I have a pic of a tiny red blob on a big green Canadian bush. It was a cardinal. I promise it was a cardinal.

Here, have a terrible photo of a wonderful long tailed tit I met in our garden yesterday.

It’s a photograph of my telly. On a red background are these words ‘Born in South Shields, the comedian whose stand-up shows have included 'Bobby Dazzler' and 'Control Enthusiast is Sarah... who?’
Then under that is a pic of a canoe then under that the answer, Millicanoe.

Very happy to be an answer on last night’s House Of Games. Thank you Humphrey Ker for getting it right!

It’s the snow in my garden. On it is a single track of arrow shaped foot prints. Looks like the arrows they put on the floor in IKEA so you don’t get lost.

I think this bird works in IKEA.

The oldest date was 23. Not bad considering I once found a tin of marrow fat peas from the 90s with a raffle ticket on it.

It’s a collection of 7 herbs and spices (and related) on a wooden bench/counter top. They are basil, ground cinnamon, sesame seeds, BBQ seasoning, ground black pepper, ground nutmeg and chilli flakes.

I highly recommend doing a herb and spice clear out at the start of the year as it means when you’re looking for the tiny best before date, you only need to see if it’s 25 or less. Here are yesterday’s casualties.

It’s an image within an image. The main image is me in my car wearing a gold jumper, with make up on and everything. The smaller image is my green and yellow Late Bloomer poster image that says Sarah Millican Late Bloomer new special out now.

Reminder that my new Special Late Bloomer available internationally to download & stream RIGHT NOW. It’s also available on DVD should you like tangible stuff.
Did you see the show live & want to relive it? Did you miss it live & want to watch it? Do you just need a good laugh?
