Seeing posts that the CDC's Epidemic Intelligence Service has been (illegally) fired by the Trump Administration. These are the elite disease detectives that are deployed to investigate outbreaks around the world.

Please get any vaccines you need ASAP. The federal government's advisory committee on vaccinations (ACIP) meets later this week and is likely to withdraw its recommendations for (or even recommend against) many vaccines. If that occurs, some people will lose insurance coverage for vaccines.

If you claim to have a high-risk condition, you do not need to specify what that condition is, nor do you have to present any proof.

"High-risk condition" is not clearly defined and includes things like physical inactivity or having used corticosteroids. Did you know that over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream is a corticosteroid? Now you know.

-The current federal government is intentionally making it harder for you to access vaccines. In general, if you are under age 65, to get a COVID vaccine you either need a prescription from a doctor or you need to attest to having a "high-risk condition."

Unless you specifically ask to get mNexspike, you might receive the older-generation Moderna vaccine (Spikevax) or the older-generation Pfizer vaccine (Comirnaty).

US followers: There is a new next-generation COVID vaccine from Moderna called mNexspike that is superior to the other COVID vaccines. It is slightly more effective at protecting from COVID, it confers immunity for more months, and it causes fewer side effects. It is approved age 12 and up.

After days of trying, a physician friend in California can't get a COVID vaccine for her unvaccinated infant. We're improvising a way for her to obtain an adult dose of Moderna vaccine (which only comes in a pre-filled glass syringe), draw off a portion of it, and administer that instead.

It could be as part of a voter fraud / mail fraud investigation or something. Food for thought.

I have no expertise in this, I just have to imagine that the Postal Service has wide discretion in investigating suspected mail fraud or setting delivery times. Also there were widespread mail delays after the anthrax attacks, a similar pretense could be used to slow or stop some mail delivery

One thing I’m not seeing discussed: doesn’t the president nominally have influence over the Postal Service? Couldn’t the USPS investigate / impound / delay processing of mail in ballots?
