The world will remember how the EU and its member states respond to this catastrophic tragedy. Silence and neutrality in the face of genocide constitutes complicity. Inaction emboldens perpetrators and betrays every principle the Union and its states claim to uphold

Gaza needs food - not words I just emailed my local TDs demanding the government does all it can to let food into Gaza. Will you do the same?

Gaza is being starved by Israel. Aid is available but the Israelis are refusing to allow access to those who need it. Time is running out fast.

If you’re based in Ireland, please email your TD now to demand the government takes action to ensure the aid gets in.

Government's abandonment of climate ambition can be seen in revised NDP allocations | Green Party A huge bait-and-switch: Government's abandonment of climate ambition can be seen in revised NDP allocations

The new National Development Plan proposals released today represent yet another retreat from real #ClimateAction by the government

€22bn allocated for transport in the NDP of which €2bn we know is for MetroLink. There's zero reference to where the other €20bn will go.

A Palestinian girl cries out for food with her hands held out at a charity kitchen amid the famine in Gaza. She is surrounded by other young, anguished children. This photo was taken on Thurs July 11, 2025 after at least 10 children were killed by an Israeli strike as they queued outside a medical point. More Palestinians have now been killed just waiting for food than the number of victims killed in the Hamas terrorist attack of October 7.
Photograph credit is to Ebrahim Hajjaj of Reuters

Gaza is now officially in IPC Phase 5, the final stage of hunger. Designated as 'catastrophe'.

A further 67 of the starving were killed by IDF soldiers yesterday trying to access food. Witnesses say the victims had their hands held in the air.

One day, everyone will have always been against this.

We are receiving desperate messages of starvation from #Gaza, including from our colleagues.

Food prices have increased 40 fold.

UNRWA has enough food for the entire population for over three months, stockpiled just outside Gaza.

Lift the siege and let aid in safely and at scale.

I regret the decision of the United States Government to impose sanctions on Ms. Francesca Albanese, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967. Ms. Albanese was appointed by the United Nations Human Rights Council. Special Rapporteurs are an essential instrument of the Council in fulfilling its mandate to promote and protect all human rights worldwide. I call on all UN Member States to fully cooperate with the Special Rapporteurs and mandate holders of the Council and to refrain from any acts of intimidation or reprisal against them.

Defending decency.

Two-year-old Laila Khatib was shot in the head by Israeli forces while inside her home in the occupied #WestBank.

According to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Israeli forces have repeatedly used unnecessary, disproportionate, and often lethal force against Palestinians.

Sharp exchanges follow Alan Shatter’s comparison of occupied territories trade ban with 1930s Germany Committee chair said it was ‘hurtful’ and ‘slanderous’ to claim bill was motivated by antisemitism

Oireachtas committee hears the anti-semitism card played in support of Israel as Alan Shatter brazenly misrepresents the bill on trade with Israeli-backed settlements in the Occupied Territories as a ‘boycott Jews bill’.
A charge that’s both unfair and false.
