Now that the media are reporting Farrer funding for independent from Climate 200 will they also list the $ and donor for Nats/Libs/OneNation? I doubt it

@senatorwong.bsky.social does it worry you that Herzog is in the Epstein files?

Develop a spine and a moral compass and cancel the visit. Although you can just pretend he’s come down with Covid.

Harvard Gazette:
Gazette: “You are the mother of two In ten years you have produced three novels and two short-story collections. Can you talk about your process and how you manage work and family?”
Groff: “I understand that this is a question of vital importance to a lot of people, particularly to other mothers who are artists trying to get their work done, and know that I feel for everyone in the struggle. But until I see a male writer asked that question, I am going to respectfully decline to answer it.”

Small conference grumble:

A panel where the only woman is the facilitator is still a manel.

And in some ways it actually looks worse.

I hope it’s been made perfectly fucking clear that laws designed to bolster police powers to prevent ‘violent’ or ‘objectionable’ protests will never be meaningfully turned on Nazis.

You can’t police your way out of fascism but you can certainly police your way into it.

Feel like slapping all the headlines that say conservatives need to deal with their "women problem" as if the women problem isn't baked into the foundation of conservatism. Frankly I would prefer they didn't try to make their misogyny more palatable, thanks.

A vertical plunge gets you in the vicinity. As you go down you throw away any moral compass you may once have had.

I agree. It was less an enthusiastic embrace of ALP and more an emphatic no to Dutton personally. If the libs put up a more palatable front person plenty of ppl will vote for their rot, as they have in the past.

So many scary thoughts. With big push to put the major parties last (which I get) I assume some seats are going to end up with unpredictable outcomes. I can’t help feeling anything could happen which is most unsettling. Can I just lie back now and wake up when Antony Green tells me it will be ok.

“Personal responsibility” is just the invoice neoliberalism sends to people it’s already discarded.

Creepy right wing guys taking their kids to work is on trend and dovetails nicely with their concurrent view that a breastfeeding parent could never be legitimate if they took their kid to work occasionally.

Apart from *everything else* there is a strong whiff of insider trading on all of these tariff announcements.

Dutton wants to cut 36,000 jobs from the public service.

A Coalition govt wld then contract that work out to multinational corporations- NOT small contractors.

They’ve done it b4. Morrison govt spent $20.8b in ONE year on contractors. This was 37% of the public service budget.

DON’T trust Dutton

Have just managed to make comically bad fruit mince tarts. The toil to get the pastry to work in this ridiculous humidity is a contributing factor in the head shaking. I should have stuck with my usual pastry recipe 🤦🏻‍♀️

The new ABC CEO is the same Hugh Marks who hosted a $10,000 a head Liberal Party fundraiser at Nine's headquarters.

Wow.

We'll now have a middle-aged white male who supports conservative causes in charge of the ABC.

What a refreshing change.

I mean . . . I can hardly wait.
