The Lake Scene (Colin Firth Strips Off) - Pride and Prejudice - BBC YouTube video by BBC Studios

I think they cut the shot to deliberately feel like the lake scene was happening as EB was admiring a different scenery.

Are BBC studios promoting the belief?

Isn't he in the same state of undress as the diving in shot?

The cut between scenes, clothes & dishevelment suggest he has recently exited the water.

Why does the exact timing of events matter?

He did dive into a lake.

Then appear in next shot walking towards his house still in less items.

Why isn't it likely he was still soaked, in the TV drama?

Lots of time and effort has gone into the Independent Water Commission, which reports tomorrow. Unfortunately, it's a largely wasted exercise, because the government insisted that renationalisation of the water companies was outside its terms of reference: ie, it was not allowed to consider it.🧵

All these station ticket machines have digital displays. It would make more sense for them to list out the restrictions & the next available sevice for that ticket option if you select it. @nationalrail.bsky.social @londonmayor.bsky.social

Why has this country chosen to be amongst the worst in Europe for healthcare, when only 15 years ago it was the best? The undermining by the last Govt & it's private HC lobbyists & covid fraud has wreaked havoc.

Forcing GPs out of jobs, with practices filled with far less safe substitute roles (PAs, nurses, paramedics). The years of study, training, GP exams is for assessing & managing patients. Now less time to see patients, & forced to manage the far less trained non-GPs "practising" medicine on patients.

Yes sorry you were talking about PANE (now PARA) which they are supposed to pass (with 6 attempts) before working/ getting onto GMC "register" - i think 1/3 not registered but still working. & yes 6 attempts at a ridiculously easy exam is not remotely reassuring

They all pass & most get distinctions. @anisocyte on twitter has summarised their course contents

Now nurses taking open book exams & only a few months of teaching over 3 years to "train" in MSc advanced clinical practice to work as ACPs, often on doctor's rotas without a medical degree, years of work & multiple postgrad (royal college) exams, no regulation/ register yet for advanced practice.

The review ignored detailed safety submissions from BMA, Doctors Assoc & others. Several recent Prevention Future Death reports from coroners & multiple never events.

Sadly the review also greenlights the worringly undertrained 2yr simple course PAs to access modules on prescribing & imaging, without essential foundations. Their curriculum was simplified years ago, until recently unaccredited courses.

All the GPs & SHOs & SpRs struggling to find posts could safely bring down GP & hospital waiting lists, a lot more efficiently than outsourcing. 1 year rolling contracts. More theatres/ GPs.
