A Roman senator reading a newspaper in a cafe? Lucilla shot through the heart—she gave love a bad name! Sharks!!! Seen as an absurdist fever dream, it’s not good, but the stupid details are pretty hysterical

The 2,500-Year History of Stadiums in 10 Drawings Stadiums have changed over time, but their purpose remains the same: to allow us to collectively marvel at astounding physical feats. Where will the future of stadium design take us?

The interactive experience is pretty dated, but the pull-out poster in print still looks great

We drove from San Jose, which was cool but took awhile. This was about 7 years ago, and the roads were rough on the peninsula. Much much easier from Liberia.

A simple dice game — with a harrowing climate message In this edition: Space law, a catchy song about eels mating, and a media landscape licking its wounds. Hello! Welcome to Deviations, and thank you so much for signing up. If you have any feedback ...

The latest edition of Deviations, my personal newsletter, just came out!

The focus of this one: Last year, I stumbled across a pretty great climate-change demonstration that uses just 3 dice. I'm now sharing it with all of you.
