New London RPG store alert!

I'm haflway through writing my entry for @uktin.bsky.social JogJam! It is a city location that can be dropped in most high-fantasy settings, though admittedly the connection with #ScarredLands is almost immediate. A refuge for people fleeing racial and religious persecution. An actual republic.

Recently @uktin.bsky.social was able to replenish the wares of the Arcanist's Tavern with a lot of lovely indie-TTRPGs and supplements from the community.
If anybody is around Shoreditch and would like to grab some hot zines - it's the best time to do so!

I am taking a leaf out of the artists way and going on an artists date ; and heading to London to the #TateLate and an event which I learned about through @uktin.bsky.social I'll share more when I'm there #artistsdate

I decided to have a go at this and it all came together very easily.

Really nice to take part in my first game jam.

Probably the best part was not having to write any mechanics. 😀

#RPGaDAY Day 28: Suspense!

Not a deliberate delay in posting this, but I guess it fits the theme! No greater suspense than the suspense of releasing a game and waiting to see how it's received. Luckily we have a whole community of people who are used to that feeling.

What are your top tactics for keeping TTRPG players engaged and invested? Listen to them, learn from others, try new things and see how they go, be a fan of their characters, and remember that the best story is the one we all tell together!

What makes a good nemesis in a TTRPG? Danger, excitement, maaaaybe a little bit of sexiness? We like it when rivals and nemesis characters get to do terrifying and unexpected things in games, though NGL we also love a good redemption arc too.

#RPGaDAY Day 25: Challenge!

We love a good challenge round here: board games, card games, miniatures games, and even TTRPGs are all about challenge. Whether it's getting to grips with a new system or tackling real-world problems, there's no Challenge Rating too high for our community!

#RPGaDAY Day 24: Reveal!

Games can tell us loads about ourselves and the world around us. Especially games that educate us on aspects of life we've never experienced or considered. We especially love indie games for this, passion projects that present the experiences of one or a few people.
