every other image on social media has either no alt text or is misusing alt text.
so you scroll past them, and end up on another one.

no. it has nothing. no alt text or post description, just an image you can't fully understand.

does that feel frustrating? does it irritate you, knowing they could've used the accessibility feature meant to help you and the over 1.5B people with some form of vision impairment, to actually help you? to actually make their content accessible?

you're a blind person browsing bluesky, and you come across a post with little text, but with an image.
you use your screen reader to read out the text that is supposed to be a description of the image.
instead, what you get is some random sentence that could've been in the post.

if the answer is no, then your description likely isn't detailed enough, and you should ideally keep going.

before you post an image using alt text for what it's not meant for, i want you to imagine a scenario
