Ok, so really this is the restriction for TGV - lines where loading gauge is limited to G1 (without GA or GB)

Ah right, the big issue for TGB is where it's G1 instead of GA I'm guessing then.

GI2 seems to be same as GIC2 which seems to mostly describe the bottom rather than the top.

I built a tool last night to be able to "search/filter" for compatibility. Interestingly large swatches of the high speed network in Italy are not GB compatible but have GA and GI2. I can't find much about GI2 online and cross compatibility. If you filter for GB in Italy you get this:

BTW, the EU also publishes the vehicle registry with all the details also. I think this one is TGV Euroduplex and confirms GB loading gauge eratv.era.europa.eu/Eratv/Home/V...

Would be fun to create a map per vehicle type, cross linking the map data with the vehicle data. I

Note the EU tool also seems to have it but hard to use (but no login)

Hmm... "The coding of the lines is reported in
the European RINF and in the ePIR portal within the "Combined transport code" plans. "

I think there's even EU rules that this stuff needs to be publicly available in a manifest

Partly this may be so that when you reinstall the app you dont lose your settings. Annoying indeed, but it makes some sense

The trick back in the day was to start downloading a large movie in iTunes and magically every app would start clearing its cache πŸ˜…

Instagram/FB use a similar amount, mostly just to cache things so you dont keep downloading the same images over and over

Haha, reminds me of Bilbao Airport, where the baggage system "doesn't fit" anymore in the 2000s Calatrava. You check in, get your bag tagged and then drop your bag off elsewhere...
