After analyzing these statutory provisions, as applied to the facts in this case, this Court arrives at the necessary conclusion that there was neither "a rebellion or danger of a rebellion"
nor was the President "unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States" in
Oregon when he ordered the federalization and deployment of the National Guard. 10 U.S.C.
§ 12406(2) (3).
The "precise standard" to demarcate the line past which conditions would satisfy the
statutory standard to deploy the military in the streets of American cities is ultimately a question
for a higher court to decide. Newsom, 141 F.4th at 1051. But based on this Court's application of Newsom to the factual findings at trial and the meaning of 10 U.S.C. § 12406 in light of history
and tradition, this Court finds that wherever this line precisely is, Defendants have failed to clear it. Therefore, for all the reasons stated below, this Court permanently enjoins Defendants' orders
to deploy federalized members of the National Guard to Oregon.
BREAKING: Following trial, Judge Karin Immergut, a Trump appointee, finds that Trump did not properly invoke federal law to call up the National Guard and "permanently enjoins Defendants’ orders to deploy federalized members of the National Guard to Oregon."

Not gonna lie, I wasn't sure Americans had it in them to keep up the fight. But here they are, veterans, suburban moms, teenagers & grandmas showing up to tell ICE to fuck off & get out. LA, Portland, DC, NYC, Memphis, Chicago, & everywhere else fighting these Gestapo fucks...I am proud of you.

I can't overstate how proud I am of everyday Americans who hear whistles & come running to document, protest, bear witness, & to help however they can when ICE invades their neighborhoods. They know they might get gassed, abused, or even arrested. They show up anyway to protect their neighbors. 💜

Health Costs Will Soar for Many in Mississippi Without Action
About 331,000 Mississippians who rely on the Affordable Care Act could see their health insurance premiums jump by 37% on average unless Congress acts to extend COVID-19-era tax credits.
Stark warning from Mississippi's Republican Insurance Commissioner: “I don’t know where America’s headed, but we've got to redefine how we address health insurance and health care in this country. If not, we will not have health care in the state of Mississippi in some areas, especially the Delta.”

That said, shitty wages suck and indie bookstore owners can be awful too. I have worked for an indie bookstore that paid under the table and under minimum wage. The owner was a douchebag too.

In Utah, Trump’s Vision for Homelessness Begins to Take Shape
Under Trump, the draconian future of homelessness policy is coming into focus: mass internment. Utah is building a 16-acre site to detain up to 1,300 homeless people inside locked "accountability centers." This is profoundly alarming.
