He's next competing at the Czech Indoor Gala on 3rd Feb, where he'll be up against Olympic Champ Miltiadis Tentoglou 👑

While Hoey's 800m WR was the most significant result of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix on Saturday, it wasn't the only WR to fall!
Equally impressive was Hobbs Kessler's 2000m WR - knocking 1 second off of a Kenenisa Bekele record is no mean feat!

The 2026 season is rocking! Josh Hoey blitzed the 800m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix yesterday to set a new World Record. And best of all, he was paced by his brother 🏃♂️
And this wasn't just any record, this was legend Wilson Kipketer's record from 1997. Magic!

Another highlight of yesterday's BAUHAUS-galan in Stockholm was Håkon Moe Berg's very sharp 1500m (3:34:32). At just 19, he is already widely tipped to be Jakob Ingebrigtsen's Norwegian successor in the coming years!

Superb night of athletics last night at the BAUHAUS-galan in Stockholm. The night culminated in Romell Grave causing a bit of an upset in the men’s 60 metres ahead of Kishane Thompson and Jeremiah Azu!

A corny but enjoyable back and forth between Noah Lyles and Vernon Norwood ahead of their 300m showdown at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix this Saturday (24/01). I'm backing Noah to bring the smoke!
Olympic high jump champ and WR holder Yaroslava Mahuchikh opened her season by clearing 2.03m in Lviv on Saturday (17/01).
She’ll next be jumping at the International Jump-Meeting Cottbus on the 28/01, which will be streamed live on the European Athletics YT channel.

Tia Clayton clocked a 7.02 (60 metres) season opener in Jamaica on Saturday. Kishane Thompson also ran a blistering 6.52.
Both athletes looking razor sharp for the indoor season.
Clayton (+ sister Tina) and Thompson will be next running at the BAUHAUS-galan meet in Stockholm on 22nd of January!
