Sen. Cory Booker on how he pulled off his marathon speech: Fasting, Hokas, and a record to break Booker, who is vegan, had his first food in more than a day when he got back to the office: some pineapple and watermelon, according to staff.

Me too! Booker mentioned that he fasted for 3 days and (even more hardcore!) avoided water for 24 hours prior to this event.

I can relate. I have hope that all this cruelty will create a counter-reaction that is in alignment with the more beautiful world we dream of.

An arrow needs to be pulled back to fly. Perhaps this is the phase where a better world is gathering momentum through the resistance we encounter.
