Kind of annoyed they didnβt at least redo the regular Blu-ray with the remastered footage. But otherwise sounds like a fine release.

12.09.2025 23:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I prefer shifting aspect ratios where it isnβt a gimmick and something the director intended. From what understand Kosinski approved of it. If they could do an option I hope it doesnβt involve a separate encode of the movie. Use seamless branching or an overlay.

30.08.2025 18:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yeah the physical media thing is bunk. Itβs online only, no inventory in stores. I always ask why they carry players if you canβt even buy movies from them lol
23.08.2025 00:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Theyβre just begging for people to pirate their content with shenanigans like this.
13.08.2025 07:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs a shame they didnβt give this a 100GB disc. I know you say itβs likely had little impact on the picture quality but I prefer owning a film in its best possible quality, and for one thatβs over two hours I feel like 66GB is selling it short.
03.08.2025 18:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Soβ¦ in times past they would have done an exchange program or something so people who previously purchased the set can get the fixed discs. Now we have to buy it over again?
16.07.2025 02:20 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hopefully it is held up on appeal, my confidence in the Supreme Court doing the right thing is incredibly low right now.
06.03.2025 22:21 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We commend the courtβs decision to uphold the integrity and independence of the NLRB by ordering Gwynne Wilcox to be returned to her seat. A president cannot undermine an independent agency by removing a member of the board because they disagree with them. aflcio.org/press/releas...

Iβm alone trying to sort out her affairs after 20 years caregiving

I started the campaign yesterday when I found out the attorneys fees alone to even try to settle her estate was going to run $4000-5000. Thatβs not including settling any medical debt, settling Medicaid Estate Recovery, or even holding a memorial service and hopefully burying her and dad.

Okay, Medicaid is great, but oh my does it need fixing. Please end Medicaid Estate Recovery. Currently, federal law requires states to attempt to βrecoverβ funds used for the benefit of the Medicaid recipient. Oftentimes this means taking the family home once long term care has started.
19.11.2024 04:23 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Legislation to end the practice is currently in the US House and must pass so we can stop ripping away homes from families who can least afford it.

You can see more about the process here, but basically if you know anyone who owns a home and might ever go on Medicaid, they should get their estate in order well in advance because MERPs have a 60-month look back period.

The problem is, only about 1% of funds used are recovered from these estate recovery programs, but they disproportionately impact low income or poor families. Worse, well-off or affluent families often skirt these recovery efforts by placing property into trusts that their heirs can inherit.
