I think going to No Kings rallies and distributing zines, flyers, beginner radical literature is important, but trying to subvert a rally with different chants is just a waste of energy. Go there, talk to people, spread some resources, but don't try to change the whole rally, it's impossible.

I guess my question would be; To what end?

I have seen very little radicalizing of the types of people that attend these mass rallies. I would say that it's gotten them moreso trained to believe that this is the extent of their required interaction based on the current attitude of Liberals re; 2024

It specifically works to include people unwilling to do anything beyond holding a sign on a day that will not upset capital.

This is the sign of something that is placating, not disrupting.

The 'No Kings' protest isn't a protest.

It's a pep rally for Liberals that believe their feeling of being "part of something" is more important than any actual demands from those in power.

"No Kings" is not a demand. It's a stupid slogan and one that has no implication beyond "We're upset".

If we want mass mobilization to have any effect beyond sating the ennui of Libs; it's ultimately going to need to come from workers that shut down their places of work to be there

But instead we're going to keep getting weekend daycare outings that just make Libs feel involved despite doing nothing

If they weren't the only form of protest that was sanctioned by the Democratic Party then there would absolutely be room for them.

But these are specifically designed to harness direct action that could be used to demand something and turn it into Electoral Buzz.

I think we're going to all have to come to the realization very soon that we no longer have the privilege of a nice rally to feel better in our misery.

We're going to have to start shutting down workplaces and demanding change.

There's a reason that Democrats want you to do one and not the other.
