similar story with my family's puggle. she'd been returned before we got her, and within 5 minutes of us taking her home, she was on the counter eating cheese and crackers. she's 15 now, but still (almost) as much of a hellfire. this picture is from when my mom would take her to school on Halloween

when i told him no, just research and teaching, he said "ah, so you'll just be a cog in the machine." i reminded him that we live in a socially constructed world, so everyone is a cog on some level. evidently that was the wrong answer π

Democratic messaging sought to convey Republicans as a monolith. But there are real personal and policy wedges to be exploited within the Trump coalition.
Seek them out. Make them fight each other.
One more thought on "bad" art, at the risk of sounding pretentious:
The point of art is to create and express something. Technical skills (anatomy, perspective, etc) are good, but only insofar as they serve that goal. What gives art its value is the impression it makes, not the artist's skill.
