The SLSA Board is delighted to announce the publication of the SLSA Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Survey Report 2025. It presents the results and analysis of the survey responses and plans for taking our EDI strategy forward based on member input. Thanks to all.

A total of £66,000 has been earmarked towards these five schemes for the 2025-26 round. The maximum individual award limits across all schemes have also been revised upwards. These enhancements are intended to foster greater opportunities to encourage, nurture, and showcase the work by our members.

All the SLSA funding schemes are now open for applications: Research Grants, PhD Fieldwork Grants, Impact Grants, Seminar Competition, International Collaboration Funding. Closing date: 31 October 2025.

@robdjones.bsky.social and I are guest editing a special issue of @howardjournalcj.bsky.social which explores the rights of prisoners in the UK and elsewhere.

It follows an @slsauk.bsky.social seminar held in Liverpool in 2023, and features a brilliant set of legal academics and criminologists.

The migration to our new website is scheduled for this weekend, and while we anticipate minimal disruption, we would appreciate your patience and understanding in case there are any access issues.

We will be in touch again once the new website is live.
