A neighbor described this Friday originally as "a day of prayer and fasting." With all respect to folks of other beliefs, this description feels more true (and actionable) to me.

Curses on the bicyclist who swept past my aging husband in Finsbury Park and swiped the iPhone right out of his hand. Our son, who lives in London, says it’s fairly common there.
