What do you mean by "flip flop"?

Equal-weight at MS is not a Sell. It's the equivalent of "Neutral". But it is a big deal that Jonas's replacement downgraded it from Buy to Neutral.

Musk & his "Vested Interests" use the options market to squeeze the shorts, i.e., whenever the stock should go down on bad news, it goes up due to near-the-money weekly call options buying.

Tesla's UK sales don't seem to be doing so good!

They've realized that price cuts hit their lease portfolio, so are using aggressive financing programs.

The "EV demand rush" in 4 markets this year will lead to the following price hikes from Jan-1st: US ($7K per car), China ($2K), Norway ($3K), & Turkey ($7K).

Tough scene for Tesla in 2026.

The top-10 carmakers by market cap make up 75% of global passenger car sales.

Tesla makes up less than 2%.

The Tesla bubble will be widely documented in history books.

Since I havenโ€™t seen anyone mention this: When the U.S. commits war crimes it puts our troops in danger also, as it gives a green light to other countries that they can do the same to us

Despite aggressive (1.99%) financing programs and below-cost lease deals, almost all trims of Tesla's Model 3 & Y are "Available Today" in America.

Barring some kind of miracle, Tesla should be swimming in red ink and incinerating cash in 2026.

The fact that the editors let the guy quote Tesla's "safety" reports is what's astounding.

Tesla only counts accidents where airbags deployed, while counting non-deployment crashes for other car crashes.

NHTSA has stated that only about 18% of police-reported crashes involve airbag deployment.

This article was just an opinion piece by some rando with connections to the editors.

The Forbes guy covering Tesla is actually one of the biggest skeptics among the journalists on the Tesla beat.

Can't believe that the Forbes editors allowed him to quote Tesla's "safety" report, which is rigged with data that makes Autopilot/FSD look safe.

The Realizationโ„ข

Tesla owner using the new 30-day free FSD trial almost gets T-boned, among other things, while using the software.

The last time Musk launched a 30-day free FSD trial for Tesla owners in March 2024, only 2% chose to buy/rent the flawed product.

I'm in the same camp as you. EVs are a waste of money right now. Once solid-state batteries can be mass-produced profitably, that might change, but for now, I'll stick to ICE.

It's imported to the US, so they pay a 15% tariff. The 250 CLA is locally produced both in Europe & China, so Model 3 sales in both regions could see further pressure.

I don't see how Tesla's Model 3 can survive if Benz can offer an alternative EV this cheap, with this kind of performance, on top of the 15% tariff that it's charged in the US.

Imagine what this model does to Tesla in Europe, where Benz pays no tariffs.

Why publish a "safety report" when using obviously flawed data comparisons, *and* no disclosures of disengagements or crashes.

They filed to start AV testing in CA in 2014 along with Waymo. Tesla never took the next step, though, as it involved submitting annual FSD disengagement data.

Tesla's Stock is Resilient Despite the Slew of Bad News Since Nov-6th Tesla is only down 8% this month vs the Mag-6's decline of 6%. This won't last if market sentiment turns more negative or if bad news is taken seriously among Tesla's wide-eyed shareholders.

Tesla's stock is resilient amid the market sell-off & a slew of bad news.

The CA DMV ruling will be out by Dec-22nd, and could be really horrible.

But there's much more bad news that Tesla should've traded down on since Musk got his $1 trillion pay package.

Great thread of articles here on the dangers & legal liabilities faced by Tesla over FSD & other quality issues.

Musk is untouchable by US regulators so it'll be independent or class-action lawsuits that serve justice in the end.

Next one up by Dec-22: CA DMV lawsuit vs Tesla for consumer fraud.

Tesla's Robotaxi Crashes Four Times In a Single Month Tesla Robotaxis have now crashed at least for times in a single month โ€” and that's just what's been reported so far.

Total of 7 crashes in Austin so far (between July & September), despite Tesla "safety monitors" sitting in the front seat. You can't make this stuff up.

This is near 100% confirmation that Tesla won't get a permit to roll out FSD Supervised in Europe.

My hunch is that the Regulator needs Tesla's FSD data, which Tesla has refused to submit even to regulators in California since 2014.

I wonder what Tesla has to hide?

Many morons believe he'll have a driverless ride-hailing service operating next year. ๐Ÿคฃ

Both NHTSA's new head & his boss (whom Musk called "Sean Dummy") would love to see him fail. I guess that's a form of genius. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

A Quick Look at How Bad Tesla's Start of Q4 Is In all countries that report monthly Tesla sales (ex-North America), Tesla's October sales fell by 33% YoY to new lows since 2022's pandemic.

Oh, believe me, we're going to do much better. Here's a sneak preview to how bad things are, albeit possibly too early to judge on just one month of sales.

SpaceX's upgraded Starship suffers explosion during testing | TechCrunch It may not have been a massive fireball, but SpaceX now has more work to do before it can kick off this next-generation version of Starship.

Odd one for SpaceX to have an explosion this early in the testing process. Even odder to see the booster still standing. That's helpful in the sense that this didn't ruin the test stand or nearby ground equipment. But this means more work before Starship V3 launches.

Musk's "Interim Award" Could Wipe Out Tesla's Retained Earnings If the Delaware Supreme Court upholds its lower court's ruling to nullify Musk's 2018 Grant, Musk's "Interim Award" of $24 billion kicks in and would be a 33% hit to Shareholders' Equity.

Lots of landmines ahead for Tesla before year-end.

1) California DMV lawsuit (Nov-26th?)
2) Delaware appeal ruling on Musk's $50bn bonus

The CA DMV is a "known known", but the Delaware ruling is a "known unknown", which could bite Tesla in the a$$.

100% agree. 48% market share (number 2 in the state in terms of volume, after Toyota) is too good for them. But they'll be in the gutter from this quarter onward.
