I half expected this photo to be taken in Hawaii.

It was very relatable. It’s all too easy to feel overwhelmed when a task changes from a thing you want to do and into a self imposed obligation. It’s good that you can recognise you’re not “feeling it” at the moment, it would be detrimental to try and push through it.

Oh and of course there was the classic mistake of using a 1998-2012 Crown Vic, with a rear fog light and side repeaters, revealing it was filmed in the UK. But I do think they did a good job with the clothes on the extras and controlled as much of the background as they could reasonably do so.

Bit of a bump, I watched this yesterday. The scene was set in 89, so at a glance they could have been plausible but the C plates were egregious. Another vehicle that stood out was a soft top Defender that was too tatty for its age and interior shots showed a hard top with a restomod interior.

The Pontiac Vibe with the orange panels certainly stands out as a more random import.

Somehow I found myself watching that earlier. I noticed Matt Berry got a credit for “wardrobe”, no doubt simply for getting dressed in the morning.

Front 3/4 perspective of what at first glance looks like a pink Land Rover. But the proportions are off, wider than a Landie and it’s got a protruding snout like radiator grille that has a gold Chevy bow tie. It’s got the original Blazer bumper with a UK registration plate (which I checked to confirm my suspicions about the ID).

The truck in this video is an interesting one, Land Rover body but with weird dimensions. That’s because it’s fitted on a 77 K5 Blazer chassis. Incidentally the song is pretty chilled out too.

I find it somewhat odd to stumble upon my own comments on Flickr, that I posted 17 years ago. Especially as the account I used was deleted over a decade ago (comments from deleted accounts get assigned random names).

It’s nice to see a splash of colour, certainly lifts the space.

I rented one in 2013, it seemed good enough for the job back then. The one I drove had the 1.7 Diesel, plenty of torque for a hatchback. I made the most of my rental by taking down some back roads and just using it for the task I needed it for.

One thing I’ll never understand about IG is the apparent bots that post “send me this post”, so another account can farm engagement. I’m just surprised it’s still a thing.

I cringe every time I see a vehicle parked with overhang like that, it just shows a distinct lack of care.
