Which may help explain why it so embraced by those on the authoritarian right, who devalue human life as a matter of course. But do they realize the catastrophic economic outcome? Maybe, if they picture themselves coming out on top.

In other words AI might be a perfect storm to suck the life out of the economy, especially service-heavy economies such as the USA. Meanwhile, in less directly economic terms, it sucks the “life” from our human experience by devaluing our skills and efforts.

What if AI isn’t a bubble that can burst, as much as a black hole? It destroys the value invested into it due to the profit vs cost not resolving, but meanwhile sucks away the value of all other formerly profitable services (and thus employment, wages & economic benefit) that it is “replacing”?

Can Greens pick up enough momentum to fend off the reactionary right? They’ll need to effectively communicate the truth that both Labour and Reform are billionaire-captured parties.
