As a fairly simple rule, I don't want to visit any country where criticism of the government is illegal. Where taking a photo or video can land you in jail. Where the government routinely denies what is happening is actually happening.
You decide if I'm talking UAE or USA...
And if the reason the UK "has" to build nuclear power stations regardless of opposition or cost is because of AI data centers, then fuck you, Mr Starmer, and Miliband, and the whole sorry lot.
This is political opportunism, because how long will it take for UK's first new nuclear power station in... how long? to come on line? How long will oil prices be jacked?
Everyone knows that wind and solar are the cheaper, quicker option. I'm not anti-nuclear power, but I think its time has passed.

Also been thinking a lot about the "independence" of green energies. In the event of an apocalypse, we won't be Mad-Maxing it, fighting over the last of the petrol (which degrades...). We'll be hooking car batteries to solar panels (which degrade...). But at least our LED lights don't need much!

OF COURSE there's no hint whatsoever of a conflict of interest. Of COURSE daddy also banned foreign drones from the U.S. market, inc. gov contracts, citing national-security concerns.
