it's all in something referred to as "shape language." i always try to imagine the push and pull of forms--like how round can someone's head get, and how sharp can i make this curve without losing the idea of what the shape is. it's good to start really simple, then exaggerate it.

aww thank you! <3 I feel like it comes down to a main line of action. But sometimes it's nice to start with a circle (for the head) and then see where you can turn and twist the body for some fun or zany pose. A lot of expression can come from the hands and feets too!

Also, as an artist, I will add that I hate the "steal like an artist" concept because it actually doesn't help you progress with drawing. If your fundamentals are lacking, copying a style you like won't get you anywhere towards mastery. I hope she learns that... and i hope she quits stalking.

Hoping maybe someday they'll have some self reflection. Till then, this sucks. They're being disrespectful, period. It's a very good thing you're putting it out here as a PSA. It helps to understand the situation better.
