I saw this during Brooklyn Horror Fest. It's pretty good!
You remind me that I gotta check my wishlist is updated
I was mostly delighted by the Young Frankenstein references. That dance sequence!
So thanks to seeing this post, I decided to try Qobuz since they pay slightly more rotaltues than Tidal and have an AI policy. Moved my tracks over and while I lost a few things, this is the only streamer that still has Naatu Naatu and that is worth its weight in gold. SOLD.
I've never heard of this platform and just from a cursory glance, I think I might try them too. They're a bit cheaper than Tidal for the base streaming and the AI policy is promising. Thanks for putting this on our radars!
Moved to Tidal last year, no regrets. Very little of what I had on Spotify isn't accessible there, and a few artists have broader catalogs to boot.
Think I'm gonna cope with the Paramount news by giving @diabolikdvd.bsky.social some more money.
Tidal. Even found some stuff that hasn't been on spotify
Thank you for this.
A thread of light.

Thanks for putting this on our radars! I hadn't heard of this before seeing your post and managed to catch one of the few screenings at Alamo. It was a blast!
One of the more obvious "yeah that ain't NYC" films I've seen in recent memory.
Everytime I see a new train thread from you, I search cross country train vacations. Thank you for sharing these, delays and all!
How I feel every time someone shouts out Kanopy as just requiring a library card. NYPL killed their Kanopy partnership years ago because of the cost. Queens technically has access but to such a limited selection it's not worthwhile. At least Hoopla is available.
Same logic I applied going to Portland in January. Got flights and a fancy hotel downtown for a surprisingly great price. Bonus that the weather was pleasant for winter while my hometown got snow while I was gone.
I saw one video review about Mewgenics that implied you're gonna be killing a lot of cats in this game. As a fellow cat person, is it as bad as that sounds? I'm intrigued (though I also hesitated at the name) but I dunno if I wanna grind through kitties as a basic gameplay mechanic.
It's always exciting to hit upon an author whom, with the first book you've read, you're ready to put all their works on your to-read list. Just discovered @nuzo.bsky.social through her recent book Futility. Nigerian folk horror done with a mean, humorous bite. Loved this.
Have you seen @grenzfurthner.bsky.social's work? Solvent made my best-of list last year but I've dug his prior work too. Some other perhaps lesser known ones I really like include S&Man, Devil's Pass, Mind Body Spirit, and Descent into Darkness (a wild little discovery).
A good week for #lastfourwatched on #letterboxdfriday
All bangers, and y'all were right about Final Destination Bloodlines. My favorite horror comedy in awhile.
Between The Long Walk and Strange Darling, I am hoping JT Mollner's involvement speaks to good things!
I immediately thought of Tokyo Fist!
I've always been partial to the Tank Girl soundtrack
I was so excited to see this finally get a nice release and seeing you amongst the features was just a nice bonus. Definitely picking this one up
If you follow me because you recognize my name from @chattfilmfest.org virtual events, you definitely have seen @wiccaburr.bsky.social around, adding CFF films to letterboxd and keeping that site updated with CFF screenings. He has a GoFundMe for some health issues so spreading the word.
Thanks for letting us know!
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
If they stay stubborn and drive this through, I'm very curious how this plays out for Fantastic Fest. I can't imagine how studios feel about showing in a phone-friendly space when many refused to consider virtual fests post-pandemic.
I really need to keep better track of your gaming recs because they always sound awesome! Thank you!
Gotcha! Frankly, I haven't seen a single word of support for this stupid idea anywhere.
