Still time to book onto #OxFOS26 - Though the in-person day is getting crowded!
Thank you for putting this on HCommons - I couldn't access the report on the MORPHSS site.
Well... I thought I'd managed to correctly tag #OxFOS26 for the @oatp.fediscience.org.ap.brid.gy but for some reason it's been a day and it's not come up (was hoping to use that for my own profile to be consistent)
What did I do wrong? ๐
I totally agree with you Kat. I have 'fulfilling snacks' (Hula hoops and a tub of smashed up chocolate which I portion into little bowls) but if I have my fave snacks I will gorge on them until the packet is empty.
Quick post to admire this logo. LOOK AT IT. Canadian maple leaf visualised as a network to represent a Repository CoP just sooooo good.
We four will be discussing our Libraries OA initiatives in #DiamondOA: Library-led hosting and publishing: How it started and how itโs going
I forgot alt text for the image - It's just the official marketing all the details for UKSG 2026 can be found here: www.uksg.org/events/confe...
Also obligatory @uksg.bsky.social tag
Just sent off my speaker form for #UKSG2026 - My first time ever speaking (Though I will be with conference veterans @cathdishman.bsky.social @tmorley24.bsky.social and @beckywojturska.bsky.social ) Let me know if you are at UKSG (and selfishly: if you'll be a friendly face for my talk!)
I'm an adult and make adult decisions. #BirthdayLunch #AllTheCake
Personas of librarians and their response to AI - part 2. This is all tongue in cheek. substack.com/@aarontay/no...
I had the same reading - Because my best friend who has a Doctorate in classics said he'd read it - Had the same issue in the opposite direction about it being 'too pagan'. Considering the other was an AA Milne poem I was obviously confused.
Incredible stuff entering the public domain in January 1! The latest from my friends at the Duke Law School Center for the Study of the Public Domain: web.law.duke.edu/cspd/publicd...
Still time to book (though we have a nice lot of people coming!)
Been working with some of the people from @openbookcollective.bsky.social for our next open event and now it's here: Archiving and preservation for open access monographs, 13/01/26 14:00-15:00

Coin flip between Devil's Advocate and Titanic... Bodes well.
I would very much like an academic translation of this in it's entirety out of entirely author-based curiosity (and an inability to read Spanish)
My housemate found a mouse paddling in our toilet when I was in shared houses. An out pipe can, on occasion, become an in pipe.
I have H5P e.learning to bang my head against - It's really useful that no one else it 'at the office' (well... I WFH) these two days as I'll have limited interruptions.
Trying to build e-learning? Trying desperately not to use AI assets? Guess who hadn't realised one of my go-tos is now gone: cozynest.medium.com/iconfinder-i... (and I'm glad I've got SVG files of the stuff I've already used!!!)
I knew that from working at The National Archive where said artwork is. It's grim stuff.
I also personally object to it being GASTON. The whole point is he's one of the most on the nose villains because he is so REAL in how he is (silly cartoon elements aside) I don't need to know he has a tragic backstory, the man is reprehensible and that there's no excuses is what makes it GOOD.
We're recruiting. Join our team as the
Research Metrics and Open Infrastructure Lead. More information here: my.corehr.com/pls/uoxrecru...
A friend of mine responded to me sharing this with 'You can get anything on Deliveroo these days' and suffice to say I may have barked a laugh.

I mean... I'm all for a traditional Grecian hubris punishment for Bezos.
This Friday I get to go and see Offspring supported by Simple Plan. Guess what I've been editing metadata tags on our helpdesk while listening to? Turns our pop punk is VERY useful for keeping keystroke movement while bopping my head and singing along. #Milennial #PopPunk
Thanks Beth - It's been (and is!) a lot of work but feels really good to be able to finally fly the colours!
Adding @beckywojturska.bsky.social as she just followed me - Huge thanks Rebecca!
