I'm sure this is just the tip of the iceberg... Her confounding behavior in regards to the Wisner Trust and FQ sanitation contract raises a lot of questions as well. www.nola.com/news/politic... #NOLA

If we’ve learned anything from The Great Escape and events like this, it’s that NOLA Ready texts ain’t worth sh*t if the system can’t share pictures or at least share **LINKS** to pictures.

There are a lot of pre-teen Hispanic boys in the world… A picture would help. 🤯 #NOLA

Yes! Definitely later than usual for sure but it wasn’t too bad at last night. Maybe it was the snow that helped keep them down a bit? 🤔

The state’s teachers unions are not progressive. They will sell out their purported allies at the drop of a hat… The fact that they’re throwing their PAC money behind this is shameful. #NOLAed #LaEd #LaLege #LaGov

This point doesn't get emphasized enough. Just a few years ago Roosevelt Blvd was a top-5 deadliest road in the country. Now it isn't even the deadliest in Philly

One of the great gags of the moment is the DHS spox using the Berkeley Free Speech movement as the banner on her account, where she posts about deporting academics.

Reading of how it went reminds me of the execution of Eduard Delacroix from The Green Mile. It was botched, there was suffering, but was called a success because he died

Governor Landry aligns with Trump on Gulf renaming Landry's order directs state agencies, boards and officers to make the change to all published materials moving forward.

It's pretty depressing when you realize you live in a state with a governor whose two main policy priorities are renaming the #GulfofMexico & restarting executions.

As if #Louisiana has no other pressing issues to address... #NOLA #LaLege #LaGov

Trump calls for impeachment of judge who tried to halt deportations It represents a significant escalation of the president’s attempts to push the boundaries of the separation of powers with the courts.

Now is the time to start speaking out because we are rapidly approaching a constitutional crisis. Trying to impeach a federal judge or deciding to defy a court order would put us in very dangerous territory. #politics www.politico.com/news/2025/03...

New Orleans nonprofit grapples with grant loss for tree planting Orleans Parish lost roughly 200,000 trees due to Hurricane Katrina, Burley said. Now, it's SOUL's mission to restore its tree canopy.

I've seen first hand the great work that SOUL has been doing to reforest our neighborhoods. They have planted scores of trees throughout Holy Cross (I have one in my backyard as we speak). No question they've been exemplary stewards of their federal funding. #NOLA www.wwltv.com/article/news...

You're right - words do matter and that's why I called him a felon. He was convicted on federal corruption charges and also was arrested in 2018 for failing to appear in court.

Maybe for you that's not disqualifying for someone running for mayor, but it is for me along with many others. #NOLA

Last year, I notified S&WB that water was bubbling up through the street in front of my house. It took about 3 mos before they started working on it, then about 2 months to complete the project, during which time they would show up randomly without warning. It got fixed, just very inefficiently.
