And finally a huge thanks to the young entrepreneurs who had a lemonade stand and were also selling lovely bracelets. I obviously got a blue bracelet and enjoyed some delicious lemonade.

You don’t need to wonder if I will do it because I’ve already been doing it for more than a decade. Engagement is something that happens throughout the term, not just at election time.

That budget exercise needs to include a city-wide engagement process and as your next Mayor, I will be sure to be out across the city engaging on the budget just as I did as a Councillor for the last 12 years.

Basic services, especially snow removal, was the main topic raised today and through the new budget process starting in January, that will allow the next Council to set a new foundation for the budget.

We were so fortunate for the hospitality of all the residents. We were invited in for tea and cookies (yes, hot tea on a hot day is actually a great option).

I believe the most important thing any elected official can do is be present for who they represent.

Accountability and consistency through action, and my record proves it.

Edmonton deserves a Mayor who shows up.

Wetaskiwin is fortunate to have her serving as one of their City Councillors and we are all benefiting from her dedication and passion to making our city, province, and country even better.

Part of why I asked if she would serve as co-campaign manager is because of quotes like the one above. She leads by example and inspires so many others.

"And I think that’s something I’ve always hoped for is that people remember me for the compassion that I’ve shown and the kindness that I’ve shown in my leadership."

It was so wonderful to visit with Her Honour, Lieutenant Governor Salma Lakhani as we celebrated Edmontons food scene.

And a huge thanks to the team at Annie Rue Ice Cream for the delicious ice cream on National Ice Cream Day. It was a great way to celebrate the volunteers from today. Join us!

That should include a mature tree protection bylaw to help preserve more trees in older communities. It doesn’t have to be complicated or onerous but it matters to many residents.

Residents here appreciate the new neighbours and how that can help support the local businesses in the area. Their main ask is for some ongoing refinement.

For many better design would address building massing, including the changes made on July 8th. Most also preferred to see 6 units instead of 8 while continuing to refine building design.

This infill development in the photos is a bad example of infill development whereas the last picture shows better design.

At the vast majority of doors, we heard about infill. Most talked about the importance of increasing density in their community while also advocating for more thoughtful development.

Had a wonderful time yesterday serving the residents of Matheson Seniors Residence at their KDays BBQ! It was a beautiful afternoon, capped off with great music from Klondike Kate!

Based on how things are going in the west end, that can serve as a model across the city to help ensure construction is completed more quickly and people can move more efficiently.

The most common issue that came up was the ongoing construction in the area. People were excited to hear about the expedited road construction program we are doing in the west end.

This past weekend was a fun one, promoting some amazing candidates in the lead up to the municipal election. We hosted a tea party for Mayoral Candidate, @andrewknack.bsky.social , and then on Sunday I hit the doors around Blatchford with our Public School Board Candidate, Holly Nichol.
