I've passed 65K words in my second novel, which I'll call OMKI... or TMKI. I'm still working on the title 😉 This is a big milestone for me, because #GraceAndJo was right around 65K when I queried it. I've written more than 141K words this year. #amwriting #publishing

New office set-up! Traded a small L-shaped desk for a big ass executive one. Now I can stare at my inspiration board while I write and have space to set out notes!

New milestone unlocked for book #2.

I think most writers will tell you that their first drafts are pretty bad. This is the point where you’re still trying to tell yourself the story, not where you’re working out how to tell it to others. Proud of these words of unknown quality.

"Show don't tell" is a writing phrase that I've decided doesn't matter until draft two. Draft one, so far, is just 42k words of telliing. 🫣
