I never wore a mask when I was fighting in a combat zone. ICE shouldn't wear masks in the streets of American cities.

That means impeaching Noem, abolishing ICE, prosecuting ICE officers who broke the law, incentivizing lawful immigration, and creating pathways to permanent status for people who have lived in the US and paid taxes like the rest of us for decades.

I voted NO on the DHS funding bill that Chuck Schumer shamefully caved on.

Cutting off funding and opposing Trump’s cruelty isn’t enough. We need an immigration system that actually reflects American values.

Families shouldn’t live in limbo. Congress must grant permanent status now.

This is why America is supposed to have three co-equal branches of government.

Ending Haitian TPS would tear families apart and weaken our economy. The fact we have to fight to protect TPS at all is even more validation that cruelty and racism drive this administration's agenda.

And even after their sacrifices, for generations, racist policies denied Black veterans the same opportunities others received.

Remembering that history and restoring the promises the United States made to these brave men and women is how we start to make it right.

The most difficult, and yet important, time to fight for your country is when it lets us down. Black veterans answered the call to duty even when America continually failed to fight for them.

Black History Month reminds us that powerful moments accelerate progress, but they’re only symbolic if we’re not fighting to break down oppressive systems every day.
