Very few companies (notably Pornhub, and a few other NSFW content providers) basically backed out of support in certain places with these laws.

It's an unfortunate situation happening.

Discord didn't randomly do this on a whim. Discord ended up doing this because certain laws were being put in place which basically forced companies - willing or not - to verify age.

Well, most of the companies doing this aren't entirely by choice, but by the laws created that's making them. Mostly the EU and US creating laws which basically force companies to verify the age of people in places where "NSFW Content" can be provided. Usually targeting games--
