Your perceived distance to the horizon changes depending on your height above sea level (as shown in table). There is quarter-circle in the top left corner of your page, above the label: DISTANCE. Use a map to find your elevation (or estimate if confident) and note that number in the quarter-circle. EXTRA-SENSORY PERCEPTION When you don't have a clear view of the horizon or are unsure where the creature might be in relation to the cloud, note 'P' for PERCEPTION in the quarter-circle and employ your pendulum: Hold it over each distance designation: NEAR (N), MID (M), & FAR (F), on the DOWSING BOARD, circling the one that exhibits the greatest swing.
