Ontario premier Doug Ford will be in for a ride this year as massive worker contracts with the Ontario Public Service Employees Union expire.

Trudeau concerned about possible Port of Montreal strike “We have a perpetual, recurring crisis called port strikes in Canada,” says Michel Leblanc, president Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montreal.

Trudeau and business leaders are already concerned about another possible port strike.

Federal sector union contracts with Canada Post, CBC and Via Rail are up this year.

We can expect federal politicans to juggle public pressure to appear worker friendly while using these conflicts to score political points and still maintain business class support.
