The first book in another trilogy (sorry), The Will of the Many seems like a standard "exiled prince hides in evil empire plotting revenge" book, but it's both very fun the whole way through, and had probably the most unpredictable ending to a book I've ever read. Cant wait for more

Blood Song tells the possibly truthful recounting of the protagonist's journey to becoming a member of a religious paramilitary group followed by becoming the most hated man in an empire. It's got some magical bits scattered throughout that really come into play in books 2 and 3.

Jade City (and the rest of the Greenbone trilogy) are like if The Godfather was set in southeast asia and also the mafia had superpowers. It's personality really shines and I was enthralled basically the entire way through the series.

This is How you Lose the Time War is by far one of the best books I've ever read.
It tells the story of two agents on opposing sides of a war across time, and it's just so beautiful it made me SOB.

A custom magic the gathering card. It's a parody of older cards with obscurely worded abilities that also suck. It features a blue guy with a septum piercing, I believe he's the frontman of some rock band. The card reads: Ashnod Applebottom, 4UBBR, 4/4. Summon Legend. The first time you tap an artifact on a turn, if another card is sacrificed as part of that ability, you may activate that ability again for free, especially if the card is named 'Ashnod's Altar' and if a sacrificed creature has the 'Phyrexian' subtype, whereupon it happens again. 4, Sacrifice a creature: Put a -2/+3 counter on this creature. It becomes a Wall creature until end of turn. (Walls can't attack). I created this card in 2022 using mtg.design
