In the semidark we take everything off,
love standing, inaudible; then we crawl into bed.
You sleep with your head balled up in its dreams,
I get up and sit in the chair with a warm beer,
the lamp off. Looking down on a forested town
in a snowfall I feel like a novel — dense
and vivid, uncertain of the end — watching
the bundled outlines of another woman another man
hurrying toward the theater’s blue tubes of light.

You sleep with your head balled up in its dreams.

Lucky to have three poems from Lo-Fi Citadels out in the recent issue of long-running Michigan mag The MacGuffin. This one is part of a sequence of monster movie poems running through the book.

Sale! @sarabandebooks.bsky.social has lost NEA $$, as its mission doesn’t align with that of the current admin. They appreciate any support! I didn’t promote Classic Crimes this year due to a 🙁 crisis, but if u pick up a copy in the coming days I’ll happily to send a collage postcard as a thank u.

I’m so sad to hear of Monica Rico’s passing. I really enjoyed spending time with her at Bear River. Here’s a poem of hers I adore and selected for publication in the September 2022 issue of The Blue Mountain Review. Sending love to her and all who loved her. 🤍🕯️✨

Border Patrol is monitoring US drivers and detaining those with 'suspicious' travel patterns The U.S. Border Patrol is monitoring millions of American drivers nationwide in a secretive program to identify and detain people whose travel patterns it deems suspicious.

A blockbuster investigation by the AP, out today.

So much in it, give it a read, but starts with: "The U.S. Border Patrol is monitoring millions of American drivers nationwide in a secretive program to identify and detain people whose travel patterns it deems suspicious."

Call for trans zine recommendations: my Trans Studies students are going to be doing a unit on zines next month, and one activity we're doing is looking at as many physical zines as I can get my hands on. If you know of cool trans zines that ARE PURCHASABLE ON PAPER, please let me know!!!
