14.04.2025 20:16 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs possible the west shore ridings might flip blue. But red? Like the polls suggest they could?
Thatβs a tough sellβ¦.
(If they are beaten though, then those parties were destined for the dustbin of history anyway. Will that implication make people less likely to abandon them? I think it just might⦠#yyj)
11.04.2025 01:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0My most controversial position in this campaign is that regardless of what the polls say itβs unlikely the decade-plus riding holds the NDP & Greens have here on south Vancouver Island will be beaten by candidates nobody had ever heard of until about four weeks ago. #yyj

23.03.2025 23:17 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Good. If they pass this, the NDP tries to wipe them out at the next opportunity yet again anyway.
Ask the federal NDP how well minority party cooperation works in the long run. The Greens should keep their leverage #bcpoli
Howβs the tree shortage emergency, Devin?
Did they run out like people were told they would? Are there none left?
Because weβre so concerned about narratives.
Oh always so dramatic, Devin. Was it also tyranny when it was protests outside Horganβs constituency office over the tree stuff?
Or with not enough doctors?
Always an emergency.
Yeah because 2024 was such an easy ride for the NDPβ¦
Anyhoo, all of this is fun to watch. Thanks for the chat.
I wonder if the councillors will agree in time? Itβs too late for them to avoid getting involved after all. I suppose weβll find out.
21.03.2025 03:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I suspect that anybody who tells you they understand what happens out in Langford probably isnβt paying very close attention.
As for who you think my friends are, I am a friend to all. A humble chronicler of events.
I understand the experience is quite subjective. It seems to be less enjoyable when one based in Victoria gets involved in Langford. From what Iβve been told at least.
21.03.2025 03:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Of course there wouldnβt be anything wrong.
I just didnβt know what you meant? Langford politics is random people thinking a lot of odd things about me that Iβve never understood.
Devin, you were with involved with Langford Now and then you were involved with the Greens. You won one and then lost the other.
I donβt know how that has anything to do with me, BS, or getting βpulled intoβ anything.
If anything, I got pulled into all that⦠You were all out here before I was.
Oh Devin, youβre here too. Feels like just yesterday we did the thing with the Alex Jones gif.
Sorry about the Green campaign stuff. It was mostly the NDP.
State of the world has changed, certainly. Nothingβs too distracting not to make time for Langford posts though, eh?
That place is wild. Once you get hooked, it really doesnβt let you go, does it?
Our Langford has a stream of the RCMP town hall on Facebook if anybodyβs interested. #yyj
21.03.2025 02:30 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve been busy, Bentley.
I was thinking about all of you from 2022 just the other day. Feels like it was just yesterday, doesnβt it?
How are things?
Will you be attending? West Shore RCMP have their town hall at the Langford Legion at 761 Station Ave at 7pm tonight. #yyj
21.03.2025 01:12 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 1Disingenuous? No, I honestly wasnβt sure if that really was him or somebody playing games earlier.
But then I noticed you had responded to him 12 days ago and I suspected it was unlikely youβd be doing that with a parody account of him (but you never can be too safe, so I still added a disclaimer)
Hear what White Hatter CEO Brandon Laur says you need to be aware of about fraud right now as he joins @adam-stirling.bsky.social. Plus, more discussion of current events. Michael Mulligan joins the show for Legally Speaking. #YYJ #bcpoli

We asked Island Health about Mayor Alto's remarks.
They told us the following. #yyj #bcpoli
ICYMI: Victoria Mayor Alto referenced Island Health last week as an example of a public authority the cityβs bylaws may no longer permit to direct/transport persons experiencing homelessness to city parks to shelter outdoors.
Question: how many patients went to Victoria parks in recent years? #yyj
Video: Spt. Todd Preston warns Langford Council they are risking fracturing the RCMP funding relationship between West Shore municipalities with an action he says is essentially defunding service.
Councillor Szpak disagrees and later raises a point of order to cut him off. #yyj
Watch:
Langford issued press release at 2:52pm Tuesday on Monday night's tax increase meeting (which involved stark warnings from the RCMP).
